Case Study

A civil engineering company conducting a pipeline bolting contract was in need of better practices to improve their production times. When they had a situation requiring a hi torque bolting solution they investigated all avenues before deciding on hydraulic wrenches to carry out their task.
They researched hand tools, torque multipliers and pneumatic wrenches before deciding the hydraulic wrenches with an electric power pack running from a generator would be the most suitable. This was due to the ease of running the hydraulics as against air tools on a remote site as well as the compact size with the high torque to size ratio offered by these tools.
They have proven themselves so well that additional units were purchased to further improve the speed and flange alignment by using several of them at a time on each flange.
