Pneumatic Wrench Calibration
Pneumatic mutilpliers or nutrunners as they are often referred to, are basically an air operated torque wrench capable of extremely high torque.
To maintain optimum performance and safety these should be serviced and calibrated on a regular basis with service intervals depending on the type of use and environment the tool is subjected to.
When calibrating the nutrunners it is preferable to do this with the corresponding filter regulator unit supplied with the tool. Calibration is then carried out on a joint simulator to simulate the working conditions of bolted joints using a compatible torque transducer and torque display.
Regular servicing will improve the performance and durability of the nutrunner which is essential for the high torque environment in which they are used.
All calibrations are supplied with a torque versus air pressure calibration chart and table to show the air pressure the operator need to select to achieve a desired torque output from the tool.
